As starting points turn out to be
Mechanical Air is a good place to be . . .
This image is a fine location to be living on . . .
The Questioning we are undertaking is a good place to be when one places this questioning in relationship to our relationship with technology and that of the planet . . . this planet . . . this earth . . . for us to be able to see this image, to have an understanding of our position within the suspension of a landscape of such vast proportions that is 'space' - that we were only able to view this planet with our engagement with technology and an historical need to experience flight, a limitless reference of / to / with a sense of freedom . . .
It is a good place to be . . . .
Mechanical Air has a revolving series of questions of location - of asking where are we - how did we arrive at a position where the planet we live on is being damaged - that we question the evidence of the nature of this damage or that their is any damage - how did we arrive here - what clues did we miss - who did we not listen to - are we ever going to listen or are we as a species going to simply keep sustaining a belief system - an operational system - that will perpetuate the erosion of sustainability - are we over burdened with a sense of the mechanical - the rigid - the singularity of a single frame work of operation - it is a good place to be - to be at a series of pivotal decision making processes - and change . . .
Are we trying to change the world with Mechanical Air - The World is a good place to be . . . it is the human species who we would like to alter - not their biological structure - as a species we are extraordinary - it is a good place to be - what occurred in 1968 was a shift in our perceptions - a shift in our locational awareness - how fragile we are - this has now seemingly gone - we can now alter and play with the planet earth on google earth - shift its orbital positioning - it is a ball in space -
How do we alter our awareness and perceptions and change . . . this is a hope for Mechanical Air -
